Another busy day in Pirana World!

by admin on February 21, 2009

The Sooner State Games Trail Run was a rousing, yet typically cold, success! This annual event grows each year and the P. Bros. sister organization, Oklahoma Trail Runners Association, was a key contributor to it’s production. PIT McLovin was the event mentor and is President of the organization. Brothers Big and Mav, lent a hand with set-up and aid stations. Meanwhile, Brother Mac was tearing up the course in the 25K. His blazing speed and strategic course plan, resulted in a silver medal, which he wore with pride! T3 and his brood, meanwhile watched the O State Cowboys battle to another win!

Only a matter of time til the next event!

Well – I must say I’m honored to get some bling. I was refusing to answer the call of the PA to come up and get a medal because I was assuming it was all a joke and the fellow piranas were yanking my chain. I think the strategy of only competing in runs below 25 Degrees and registering in the 71-75 age group helps thin the field a bit. Next time I plan on trying to compete in the 65-69 year bracket, but some of those guys have wheels on the bottom of their walkers and that’s just not right!
