Weeble ran strong and came in on schedule. He handed off to T3 for his final run (though he was sure to explain to everyone that it was going to be a walk)
Happy but VERY stiff and sore. T3 was resolved to walk the whole thing. About .25 miles in a guy came shuffling up behind T3 and he thought to himself, “I can shuffle at that pace.” And so he did. From there on in, T3 and John ran together. Slow, but steady. T3 would not have made it without him, “Thanks John!”
John is on the left of T3 (that would be your right)
T3 handed off to Maverick who ran his leg at 9:31 pace and handed off to Goose who is out on the course right now. We have been “on” for 30 hours. We have 6 hours to finish and we are praying to Our Gracious Heavenly Father that it will not take that long
Honey, so glad you’re through and still upright. Brett won’t have to give you the hug of life like after the Mother Road, I guess… unless he just wants to cradle you in his arms and share his body warmth with you. If he does, I don’t want to know about it. Love you!
WOO HOO! Bring it on home. Everyone is very impressed with this super-human feat (or maybe your super-human feet). Keep on running with endurance the race that is set before you. Wish we could be at the finish line waiting to cheer you home.
Oh, and Mav? I’m wearing my necklace. . .
