Maverick Loses Mind At Finish Line

After a great start and an even stronger run:

Mav brought Team Piraña in in rapid style, but there was some concern that he was actually insane by the time he crossed the line (pun intended), you be the judge:

Mav said when he finished he was seeing colors and stars and stuff. We kid you not, Mav was jumping and high fiving and weaving from side to side and leaping, etc. We then posed for a team pic

We then carried our flag as a team across the OFFICIAL FINISH LINE

and got our medals:

which are kinda cheesy since they are just some off-the-shelf Texas star thing that they zip-tied to a ribbon. They are heavy though.

We were either going to be first or second in our division (Corporate Open Male) so Mav talked them into giving us the second place prize (since they had enough salsa to give to first and second) and then mail us the first place prize if we won first!

So…they took our picture in case we won.

We had a great time! We are all very tired (except Mav who says he is ready to go again) We headed into Houston and checked into the Downtown Double Tree where we are currently cleaning up. We are going to eat at the Hotel Restaurant because we really don’t want to get back into the van OR walk anywhere!
