If you ever go to Grapevine, TX on vacation you may want to remember that it is in the middle of a dry county. Now, by dry, apparently they mean no liquor stores, cause you can get a cocktail at any restaurant in town. But you can’t buy a bottle. That’s ok though, because all you have to do is drive to the Dallas County line on the Northwest Highway and you will be rewarded with a veritable Super Store Heaven of Liquor Stores.
This is just one of several gianormous stores that are waiting for you mere feet across the county line. Ain’t life grand!
It just so happens I’ve made a few visits to Big Daddy’s when I used to have an office in big D. It happens to be a shotgun blast away from a gun club where we’d shoot sporting clays. Guns and liquor – those were the days. Thanks for the memories…
