The Nearly New Year’s Day Run

by admin on January 3, 2009

Chisolm Dupree puts on a great race every year either on New Year’s Day or this year on the first Saturday of 2009.

Held on the Trails at Lake Arcadia, the race is up to 50K (31.5 miles) but lots of people come out and just run a few miles or a single out and back (14-15 miles).

The weather was perfect, if not a little too warm, and 40+ people turned out for a run in the woods, with 5 Pirana’s running and another there as moral support.

The Pirana’s are proud to have Mac back in the fold and running regularly with them.

Mav, T3 and Sweet Tea did a single out and back for 14 miles or so. Mac did 10, and Samsonite did the full 50K. As Mav et. al. were making their way back they were called off the trail by a group of campers who questioned what they were doing running and this hour. The offered Mav a beer (which he accepted) and we took a pic.
